Kalua Pork

Recipe By: Nom Nom Paleo

Rating: 4.91/5

Served with: Cabbage and rice

Tips: Use sea salt if you don’t want to get the specialty salt mentioned.

This is a FAVORITE of my family. Here’s a slow cooker version if you don’t have an Instant Pot for the original recipe.

Scallop Chowder

Recipe By: Little Broken

Rating: 5 stars from 15 reviews

Tip: For goodness sake… double, triple, QUADRUPLE that bacon! I cut it into pieces, cook it in the pot, take it out to sprinkle on top later, and use the fat to cook the chowder.

Roasted Chicken

Recipe By: Healing Gourmet

Rating: 4.6 stars from 46 reviews

Serve with: rice and broccoli (either roasted or boiled and topped with delicious butter and sea salt)

This recipe requires an Instant Pot (my FAV), but here is an alternative recipe.

Baked Saucy Asian Meatballs

Recipe By: The Recipe Critic

Rating: 4.8 stars from 5 reviews

Serve with: rice and green beans (Here are my favs but do whatever you like.)

Note: Most pre-packaged spices and sauces are loaded with ingredients I won’t eat. Because of this I often make my own. In this recipe, here is the hoisin sauce I make and use in place of the sauce in the recipe.

Hotdogs!

Recipe By: Me! Put these babies in a pan and give ‘em a sizzle.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars because, hello easy meal!

Serve with: baked fries or roasted potatoes, salad (you pick 2-3 toppings), no bun but all the condiments/toppings you want

Tip: With simple meals I still focus on quality ingredients. For me that looks like Applegate Farms hotdogs, frozen fries by Actual Veggies, and quick homemade salad dressing. Just look for ingredients that are actual food - and NO seed oils!

Hi, I’m Andrea.

I’m a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Functional Blood Chemistry Specialist. As you might guess, food’s kind of my thing. But I’m also a busy mom on a budget, so meal planning has been a sanity-saver for me to save time and money.

I’ve been answering the question What’s For Dinner? for my own family for years now. So I figured why not answer it for others who ask the same questionevery week with frustration. And so What’s Fork Dinner? was born.

Thank you for inviting me into your inbox every week. Let’s get cooking!
